Kiwi jam
This recipe is well liked by our Spanish friends. Simple and traditional, it is very good with crepes.
Ingredients :
- Sugar: 750 gr
- Kiwi: 1000 gr

- To get a good jam, you need to find very ripe kiwis.
- Peel the kiwis; to go faster I use a peeler. Anyway, kiwis are very easy to peel.
- Cut the kiwis into small pieces.
- Put the sugar and the kiwis in a cauldron and mix well.
- Cooking of kiwi jam:
Bring the sugar and kiwis mixture to a boil over high heat and mix well to prevent ingredients from sticking to the bottom of the cauldron. - Boil for 15 minutes stirring and skimming occasionally.
- Then reduce the heat and cook gently until it reaches a good consistency. To find out when the kiwi jam is ready, you can do the cold plate test: This test is to put a drop of jam on the cold plate, if it stays, it is ready!
- Pour the jam into the jars and turn them over until they cool. Be careful not to burn yourself, jars are very hot.
