Fig jam
It is a true delight that can be spread on sweet crepes or accompany salty dishes, such as blue cheese or foie gras.
Ingredients :
- Sugar: 700 gr
- Fig: 1000 gr
Preparation time : 10 minutes

- Wash the figs, cut off the stems and slice the figs.
- Place the figs in a pot, pour the sugar, stir well and let steep for 1 hour.
- Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat and then rise until it comes to a boil. Stir occasionally and do the cold plate test to check if the jam is cooked. (This test is to put a drop of jam on the cold plate, if it stays, it is ready!)
- Pour the jam into clean and boiled jars and close them immediately. Store in a cool dry place.
For those who like it, a vanilla bean can be added at the beginning of the recipe.
