Banana jam
Let’s change a little; this is a jam we are not used to taste, exotic as we like it.
Ingredients :
- Sugar: 1000 gr
- Banana 1000 gr
- Lemon 1

- Peel the bananas and thinly slice.
- Place the bananas in a cooking pot and pour the lemon juice. Stir well. Lemon will give a slightly acid touch and prevent the bananas from darkening.
- Add the sugar into the cooking pot and stir well.
- Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat, and then bring to a boil. Stir regularly. Test by doing the cold plate test to check if the jam is cooked. This test is to put a drop of jam on the cold plate, if it stays, it is ready!
- Fill the jars and close immediately. Let it cool and store in a cool dry place.
You can use less sugar, but beware this jam tends to go mouldy rapidly. To eat quickly, you can use 800 gr sugar instead of 1 kg.
