Let’s change a little; this is a jam we are not used to taste, exotic as we like it.

    Ingredients :
    • Sugar: 1000 gr
    • Banana 1000 gr
    • Lemon 1
    Preparation time : 10 minutes
    Cooking time : 40 minutes

    1. Peel the bananas and thinly slice.

    2. Place the bananas in a cooking pot and pour the lemon juice. Stir well. Lemon will give a slightly acid touch and prevent the bananas from darkening.

    3. Add the sugar into the cooking pot and stir well.

    4. Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat, and then bring to a boil. Stir regularly. Test by doing the cold plate test to check if the jam is cooked. This test is to put a drop of jam on the cold plate, if it stays, it is ready!

    5. Fill the jars and close immediately. Let it cool and store in a cool dry place.

You can use less sugar, but beware this jam tends to go mouldy rapidly. To eat quickly, you can use 800 gr sugar instead of 1 kg.

It is delicious with vanilla. For this, add 1 vanilla bean at the beginning of the cooking. You will get a delicious vanil
